I figure I am taking it to redline all the time, but I wont know until I get my Z back on the road. :) But to really answer your question, taking it to redline doesn't make you go any faster, you actually are accelerating slower. Shift earlier before your torque falls on its face. Higher RPM creates more wear and less power, which wouldn't make sense. But if you must, she will take that kind of abuse for a LOOONG time.
